Projects SUCK big time!

was at weng's place doin our geog proj the whole day.. bah. oh well.... sunshine's so pretty! and she slobbered me again! like all over my face! eeeeewww! hahaha....

crap. i just found out that my brother has moved to KL for good... i never thought i'd say this, but, i feel like crying now.

ok i'm blogging too much. hee. but just now i heard queen's bicycle race on the radio and there was this line which goes, "Jaws was never my scene, and I don't like star wars". haha the lyrics of the song's quite funny, really. and i'm thinking... "if i have to write another essay on star wars, it's gonna kill whatever love i have for it" haha... sigh.

i forgot to blog sth! how could i even forget!! landmark event in my life k... well. yesterday i played dodge ball! i played dodge ball WILLINGLY. as in no one had to physically drag me down, though alot of persuasion was required. but that's not the shocking part. this is the SECOND time this week that i got off my lazy ass and did some sports!! i'm a changed woman! hmm.... this might actually do me fat body some good. haha!

i'm slpy... shall sleep early tonite. slpg at 5am on three consecutive nites has taken it's toll on me. hah... niters.

anyway, forgot to watch american idol last nite!! den when we were doing project it suddenly hit me that i forgot to watch! and xinye totally forgot too! sigh. we were like arrrrrghhhhh!

oh we went to watch the rockers performance last nite! (which was why we forgot to watch ami!!) but anyway! eugene's a bloody friggin good drummer!!! *smitten smitten* haha. he's damned good lah. so interesting to watch him play. heh. oh and his band's original song was really quite impressive. the other bands not bad too. there were some horrible singers tho. someone totally KILLED evanescence's my immortal with her awful singing. and i sooooo love that song!! bah. actually, could hardly hear her voice.. the music was real nice tho.

we started on the project after that cos daniel's in recre and he couldn't leave to do proj. and that's when the horror started... but. nvm.. shant talk abt it.

well, that's one project down, one more to go. the worst is yet to come.... SIGH.

oh yah yah yah! i did really well for my philo essay!! i'm soooo happy cos this is my first essay in stupid NUS where i dint get a C! ahhahahaa! ok.. maybe i got a few B's.. but this is by far my best piece of work. haha. just hope and pray i dun screw up the next philo essay!! yah. but i still do not like philo. think it's too cheem. haha.

watching soccer with guys can get really irritating cos all of them just assume that girls watch soccer for the cute guys. and if it's a Real match then it's even worse cos they all mock you cos they think you're watching for Beckham. like, hellooooo??? when eugene asked if i was watching for beckham i had quite a violent reaction. i was like, "wat the hell??! i DON'T like beckham OK!!" he's not even that cute and he's quite lousy.. esp in a side like Real where there are sooo many better players. and they kept making fun of me, xinye and ah moi.. and all girls in general. saying that we dono anythg abt soccer blah blah blah. geez... anyway, Real was played quite terribly. their defence was awful. no wait, there wasn't any defence at all! Bayern played really well tho.. ok nuff' bout soccer. my point is, guys can be such callow shits. and it's apparently more so with the guys in my blk.

today i woke at 1240. earlier than i had set my alarm to! hee. had a few biscuit thingys for lunch, then went for lessons at three. the most useless tutorial award simply has to go to jap studies tutorial. just sit there and pretty much do nthg. oh yes something funny happened when i stepped into class. the first thing mitch asked me was, "you're not wearing bra?" hahaha!! ya know, i think one of the worst things that could happen to a girl is to leave the house forgetting to wear a bra. but anyway! i was wearing a sports bra! so i guess i must've looked kinda erm... flat? i dono. flat still ok.. saggy, is another matter. haha! ok why da hell am i openly discussing my boobs?! oh which reminds me, i need new bras!! i dun have enough... it's a major crisis k!! gerald -gentle reminder if you're reading this- you still owe me your free bras! i'm waiting!

oh oh! the guys in my blk are so damned horny can! they got some small robot toy figurines from DnD and they displayed them all along the corridoor. the horny part is that the toys are all in sex positions!! now everytime i pass there i'll just laugh! it's friggin funny! geez.... and just now i was forced to play VOLLEYBALL!! yes volleyball. volleyball is a sport. lazy girls dun do sports. i'm a lazy girl. therefore, i dun do sports. haha! hey this sounds abit like philo.. reasoning and all that shit. haha. point is, i did something that i normally wouldn't do. wow. anyway, painful experience. heh...

my slack sunday

i woke up at like one today! haha... did abit of work, then had lunch at four, went for mass at six, had dinner at ten. haha.. eating at such weird hours. ah well.

oh yes. mass... the drummer was really really good! and he's a cute indian guy! heh... oh and i liked the gospel reading. if you do good to the ppl you love, it's nothing great cos even baddies do good stuff for the ppl they love. so only when you are good to even your enemies, then are you truly christ like. yeah something like that... haha. anyway, it really struck me. cos i'm a only nice to ppl i love/are nice to me kinda person. which is bad... very very bad.

choc buffet bliss

yay FINALLY went for choc buffet with bernard, weng, joel, xiuwen and maurice. it was yummy yum yummalicious! sinful to the max. heh. there were lotsa cakes, fruits, choc sauces and ice cream! mmMMmmmMMM....! heavenly... poor unfortunate me couldn't eat much tho.. dono wats wrong with my stupid stomach. i dint eat dinner so i could eat more and yet i felt really full after the second round. so lousy! dint even eat my 28bucks worth! hahahah.. but was a good experience lah. at least now i noe wat it's like to haf chocs for dinner! hahah. oh and we had some really funny conversations.. in all, three hours of great fun.

just now when i was walkin home it was really quiet and abit.... freaky. dono why also... not like it's the first time walkin home alone at such a late hour but tonite was exceptionally scary. maybe cos it was kinda chilly. eeks. oh but the night sky was quite a brillant sight. lookin up made me feel rather happy. haha... but then i came home to a dark and quiet house cos folks were already asleep.. sigh. feeling rather lonely now.

after e-lang lect dis morning, this girl came up to announce to the lecture grp that she needed help with a survey for her project about bilingualism. she's doing her Masters (wow) in e-lang by the way. so she starts introducing herself blah blah blah...

then, i looked to xinye and said, "what!? she can't even speak properly and she's doing her Masters??"

ok nvm.. continued listening.

then! she said the most utterly horrifying word ever.

"ENGRISH"

for those who don't understand this err.. interesting term, she meant english. yeap. xinye and i looked at each other and we were like, "eh let's major in engrish too man!"

what the hell.... i'm not even being bitchy here. i dun even find it funny. i find it so.... scary. that someone who is doing her Masters in ENGLISH language can't even pronounce english correctly! seriously.... if i'd heard someone from the streets saying 'engrish' i really wouldn't be surprised. but this woman here might possibly even go on to get a phd in english! she might go on to become an english teacher! imagine her addressing her class... "crass, pleash turn to your ENGRISH text, page dirty tree." ok ok i'm exaggerating here. but yah.. you noe wat i mean. ppl like her could be teaching kids to speak like that! imagine the impact it would have on society! ok i think i'm exaggerating again. heh. anyways...

i remember in sec 3 my english teacher was this guy who couldn't speak properly and my class would always end up making fun of and imitating his awkward speech. how can these ppl be allowed to be english teachers?? how credible is an nus degree in e-lang, if the ppl who hold it can't even pronounce the name of the subject that they have been studying?

i think they should have oral exams for those who are majoring in e-lang. just to ensure that an at least acceptable standard of spoken english is kept.

oh man.. why the hell did i just write such a long post based on one stupid word!? i'm nuts. was feeling cranky before i went to bed last nite. am ok now... ooh xinye, daniel and i went to macs after lect and had hotcakes for breakfast! yummaye..! talked about planning modules and stuff... got me thinking..

maybe i really should consider majoring in english...? since i think lit is not for me. and i think e-lang is by far the best module i'm doing this sem. my english sucks but at least i pronounce english as english! haha.. or maybe geog? hmm.. arrrhhh... decisions decisions... maybe shared major?

i just went to town for a few hours and i'm so tired! met up wif dary and gerald (who was very late). and pOk popped by for awhile too. got alot of chocs today! like dono how many bars from my dahling pOk. and the now extinct pinky (no, not a finger) from dary, which he owed me from christmas! i wanted to make cards for em, but i forgot! hahaha. i'm a busy woman lah! heh. it was nice spendin time wif ppl who are not from NUS. no offence to those who are.. but.. refreshing change to talk about stuff unrelated to school. gerald, i actually miss your stupid NS stories!! how sad is that!? oh by the way, have i mentioned that NUS sucks? yes? well, shall reiterate my point... i need a new stapler. currently living without one. the horror! i seem to have lost my pink one. haven't seen it around in awhile. hmm....

been too tired to blog the past few days.. haha. sigh. anyways! saturday was quite a fun day! went shopping wif my daddy! hahahaha.. ok it wasn't shopping shopping lah. i got new specs! cos i lost my old ones. sad. but. the new ones are nice! why? cos the lens are tinted! guess wat color? yep u guessed it. PINK! whee! and the frame is light orange! should be nice lah. i hope. haha. anyways, it was cheap! cos my daddy said cannot get expensive ones cos i always lose stuff. where got!? only lost my wallet.. specs.. and a lot of pens and markers. then. i got a new phone! yah i noe you're prolly going "finally?!". haha. i've been saying that i'm gonna get a new one since that fateful day, half a year ago, when i decided to take my beloved 8250 for a swim. sigh. i love that phone. think it has the prettiest design. so anyway, i got a 6100. my dad pointed out that it looks alot like the 8250. maybe tt's why i wanted it. haha. oh. we saw a pink cover for it. so my dad is convinced that's why i wanted the 6100! haha. of cos not!! it's a nice phone.. tt's why i wanted it.

after shopping, i went to watch funkamania (dance comp) wif my blk ppl. it was cool! cos the dancers are all damned good. KR came in third place.. thr were 12 groups i think. so not bad! and they were superb. haha. oh and the guy from lightyears who plays the jap guy was in the comp too! his grp got 2nd. he's a bloody good dancer! quite unexpected. oh a funny thing that happened was tt this guy's pants DROPPED while dancing! haha! he struggled wif it for awhile den managed to throw it to one side and continued dancing. it turns out the whole group was gonna take off their pants anyway so it wasn't too paiseh! oh we had to stand for like 2hours cos no seats there. which explains why i was too tired to blog tt night.

anyway.. i'm exhausted. just back from welfare duty. i was the watergirl. hahahah. had to carry dis friggin huge water container to the netball court all by myself cos there was a shortage of hands and it was bloody heavy!! i reckon i must've worked every single arm muscle i have.. my arms are like quite numb now. haha.. sigh. fortunately, i had help from dis guy from my blk to carry it back.

three of us WALKED back to hall all the way from SRC!! we took a shortcut thru science.. my first time using that route and it's extremely scary! dark and deserted. looks like a scene right outta resident evil *shudders*. we came across this super ulu girls toilet. den my fren said that it's haunted and i FREAKED!! wah.. creepy.. then we hadta walk up a long flight of stairs, so had to workl leg muscles. haha. i think i had a total body workout today. damned tired now.. i'm weak. haha...

oh yes. learned sthg shocking during js lect. eating only 2 meals a day makes you grow FAT and not lose weight!! that's why sumo wrestlers only haf 2 meals a day. how?!! i haf 2 meals almost everyday cos i never wake up in time for breakfast!! ah! instead of getting thinner i'm gonna get fat fat fat fat fat! bah.

regarding the previous post, it was just some guy who asked me to go buy sthg myself when we're all supposed to do it. ah. anyways.. someone else is gonna get the stuff.. no complaints about that. heh..

last nite after dinner, i watched Homerun. the show is really really sweet. so touching! my eyes kept welling up with tears when i was watching.. haha. dono why but i cry pretty easily when i watch saaaad movies. and the little girl is soooo cute! so so cute. and it's not often that i say that of kids.. so she really is cute. i felt like crying too everytime she cried. haha. well, weng mentioned that she wrote about the political side of the story for her lit essay. so throughout the show, i kept trying to figure out wat political issues there were in it. then.. suddenly! it hit me. epiphany. haha. and it was such a great feeling. haha i dono why. it's just cool lah that there's an underlying meaning to this simple, heartwarming story. yup. so fab show.. go watch if u haven't! now i wanna watch the original children of heaven as well.. apparently it's even better than this.
