Chinese Master?

i think i'm slowly but surely forgetting whatever little chinese i know. during dinner my dad mentioned some mu4 gua1 drink. i thought for a split second, gave up, and asked,
"wat is mu gua?"

for the benefit of other chinese idiots (if any) out there mu gua is PAPAYA! geez.. it's not that i didn't know that.. learnt tt in pri sch heh. just that at that moment i couldn't be bothered to go and recall it's meaning heh. and my dad's chinese is like.. BAD. he can't read, write or even speak chinese (onli selected words haha). but he knew wat mu gua was and i didn't! oh and i found chinese newspapers in my house just now!!! *stunned*

could my dad actually be a master of chinese in disguise...??

Retail Therapy!!

after a tiring week of sch, rewarded myself by tiring myself out shopping with weng and mel! wheee! got a backpack! from Roxy! it's SO nice. mel got a Roxy bag too. cute! now we got new bags for sch. yay! i think my bag would look nicer with CJ uniform tho.. sigh. too old to carry these kinda bags. bah. the whole day we were complaining about being old. haha.. was quite funny actually.

after tt, got a skirt! i'm FAT i tell ya.. i tried so many but they were all high at my waist (cos too small la!) instead of hips so the skirts ended up being too SHORT! like.. indecently short can. hoho one cldn't even cover my butt. so anyways.. i finally found wat i was looking for. a pink skirt! yeap. now i can look like a pink pig! i think the skirt is not very NUS stairs friendly tho.. if u noe wat i mean... haha. ooh. got shoes too!

haha.. buying spree sia. but oh well.. i'm happy. we're happy. cos we all bought something! heh. and we're still not too old to shop at Roxy! YAY!

Venturing Into the Great Unknown...

yea that's wat i did today. had IT tutorial at SoC.. saw the big 'sch of COMPUTING' word on the building so i went there and took the lift to the 6th floor, happy that i found the place. saw a door which had 'sch of computing' on it, went in, walked a few rounds lost... looking for the room. that place looked pretty crappy and there was no one around. so ulu! quite scary. and the lift no air one. almost died in there. anyways, found out from someone that i was in the wrong building. science is so big and confusing.... ok, i'm just to stupid for science. haha.

oh bought this book titled A poor man's proof for the existence of God fm legion. sounds interesting! read a few pgs.. dono if i shd continue tho.. cos i have tons of boring lit books to trudge thru. sigh...

had this ala carte buffet dinner wif folks at some restaurant. i'm so full now. my bro asked me to burn some mp3s for him. i asked 'wat songs u want?' and he said 'yours all pop ah?' wah lao! i have better taste than that la? i think i listen to more rock than him lor. then he went on to slam emo saying 'you like dashboard and all that rubbish?' double wah lao! watever. i'll just throw in some songs tt i like haha. he couldn't even specify wat he wanted. the best he could do was 'slow rock' and even then he couldn't name any bands tt he wanted. sheesh.

Boredom In The Arts Canteen

Yesterday

was too sleepy to blog last night.. so will blog now

Charkwa's bday brunch was pretty fun! the food was reli yummy! pancakes, MAPLE SYRUP, toast, fruit salad! yummm! mel's house was so neat! haha.. no more cloth strewn all over the place and all. the table was CLEARED! and crazy as this may sound, i think i kinda miss all that cloth. haha.

went to Dary's party after that. we made our costumes for nothing!!! bah. as expected, no one dressed up. ok save for this other girl who had a cool mask. i think she must've felt stupid bringing it. so my cat ears and tail, mel's angel wings, weng's high and pointy boots, gerald's ARMPIT hair (?!) and sh's scarf didn't get to show themselves. we definitely didn't wanna look like idiots amongst the rest of the normal looking ppl. haha. hell, some ppl weren't even in black! didn't know like half the ppl there (cos we weren't introduced! silly dary.) and anways we weren't exactly interested in knowin the ppl there either. cos everyone else's like still in JC. haha, so we were unsociable and we ended up leaving pretty early cos we were feeling OLD and sleepy and er.. bored. heh, sorry dary! nice effort for the party tho! oh and Happy Birthday!

oh yah. and i think i looked like cleopatra last nite. my godma said so too. all thanks to my wonderful bangs. yuck! please grow out soon..

didn't have lesson today cos lecturer couldn't make it. heh. lucky didn't haf cos it was like raining the whole day! so nice to stay home and just slack.. ahhh...

Free Day!

i watched The Return. it's this russian film. mm... not too bad lah. i thought the acting was really good. as was the cinematography. ohoh and it was in the small theatre in cine! it was so cosy and nice. like private screening. hahah.. and even tho we were sitting in the first row, it wasn't too bad.

had apple cinnamon muffin from coffee club. mmm... it's been three months since i've had muffins from there! yummaye. shall rem to get the next time i have lect in LT11.

ok got a damned lect at 10 tmr. gtg slp now. bah. i'm not even sleepy yet.

Beatlemania!

today's film and history lec's the coolest lesson ever! heh. we got to watch The Beatles Anthology! i love The Beatles but i've never actually bothered to find out about how they started out and all so.. now i know! the documentary was actually quite boring.. but i was interested just cos i like them haha. oh and before the lec started they were showing this U2 video.. and during the breaks, they played some songs by The Beatles! how cool is that! this module is looking to be fun.. however, the upcoming essay doesn't sound easy... bleah. don't really know what is expected of us. think we were all abit... confused. haha.

i wish i lived in that era.. the 50/60s. rock and roll era! the kinda music tt i like heh. so fun. bet i would've been one of em crazy Beatles' fans.

had dinner at fong seng.. haha.. it's been a long time! three months sia.. not tt i miss the food there... hah.

oh yah. my mom drove me to sch today hahahah! and she was afraid she wouldn't know how to get home fm NUS so we had to pick my bro up from my gram's hse just to be the navigator! lol. and my mom's a lousy/ scary driver! haha. like she slows down when she doesn't need to.. and her driving's abit jerky. but oh well.. i was damn happy i got a ride and dint hafta take stupid public transport. heh.

Friday!!

yay first week of sch is over! haha. ohoh marketing the arts n leisure services looks to be damn fun! we're actually gonna do a proposal for a real company! my group's doing the sleeping beauty.. this ballet. so cool right!! so we're supposed to get in touch with the ppl and come up with a marketing plan and they might use it if it's really really good.

welcome mass was good. our very last issue of Candle was given out. guess i will miss the feeling of excitement everytime a new issue comes out. oooh the food was not bad too! heh. and quite alot of ppl came.. i think.

went shoppin with weng before sch. heh. we got our tops from Topshop. yay! and i get to sleep in tmr. double yay!

Dim Sum Fun!

Dim Sum Dollies was exellent!! was laugh-out-loud-till-stomach-ache-almost-to-tears funny! and the songs were very catchy and the singing was damn good! i like emma yong! oooh and of course there were the beefcakes aka hot men who were at their beck and call. coolness! hehe. i also want. ahh.. was so fun the show! all the spoofs and jabs at all the recent stuff that's made the news.. haha.

oh and so many went to watch! met Fr. JP and gang there too! they were sitting right in fronta us haha. later met some Student Council seniors as well. Pix was there.. and this guy who kept looking at me and giving me the i-know-you face but i think i just looked at him with the am-i-supposed-to-know-you? face. haha. don't remember him at all. i'll check the yearbook! haha.

My Free Day

caught the notebook with weng today. not too bad! ryan gosling's so cute. haha. then we did a little shopping. i got some shirt from Fox. that's all! i need more clothes...

then we went to sch for welcome tea. i actually went to sch on my free day!? what's wrong with me... but was ok.. got to meet some nice freshies. they all seem very erm... excited? and they were all very chatty and all. good. at least they're not boring. haha. oh and that alastair guy who was on singapore idol was in my grp. yeah.. the guy who got told off for having a bad attitude. i watched tt but i can't remember him at all! haha. wat an unusual name he has. haha at first i heard it as balastier. haha stupid me. anyways, yah he does have this stuck up look i guess.. but when i talked to him he was normal. was friendly and smiled and all. alot of freshies left early haha and well, me too. rushed home to watch singapore idol! hah. just hope that they stay in CSS. and hang out at the arts corner often. would certainly be more interesting with them around.

oh oh and someone got bluffed tt i'm a freshie! haha yay! he was like, 'you're one of those freshies who tries to pass off as a senior right!' haha i WISH ah!! i feel so old. bleah. but at least i can still pass off as a freshie. i sound so pathetic. hahahha. watever.

School Sucks

maybe i should change my layout back to the sch sucks one. bah. as expected, today's lesson was crap. total waste of my time! ugh. i should've followed my better senses and skipped it. i spent more time travelling to sch than actually being in sch can!!

the moment i stepped out of the bus and started rushing to class (i was quite late) i thought "ugh, i'm back in this place again". and the scariest place in arts now is the co-op. i wanted to get my books but now you have to queue to get ur books, then queue AGAIN to pay for them!! wat the..!? and the queues were freakin long! and the place was so crowded so i just left.

say it with me now ... school sucks! no no! NUS SUCKS!!!

PPP!

post-production party was great! food was so yummy!! mudpie!

mass was beautiful.. the chapel too! essence of love for closing was SO wonderful. it sounded fab and was so touching! haha.

toured the friary. it's sooooooo nice!! the design... wahhhh. their rooms are waaaay nicer than hotel rooms!! simple, sleek and elegant. the library's damn cool too with the automated shelves thingy. i wanna live there man! really! swimming pool n rooftop for tanning n all haha! they even have a talk-cock corner. so cute! think it must be quite fun.. living together n all. like hall! haha.. only living conditions here 10 times better.

we caught singapore idol and it was hilarious! the lemon tree guy just started a new dance craze man.. haha. after tt we had our own song and dance performances. haha.. joel was a popular fave! performed twice haha. in front of jason somemore!! *applause* and there was ben and derrick with their wonderful angel's dance. br jo and maurice's awkward assisi dance. funny!! and of course, crew's Screw and the Drill. lol. so fun to spoof everything.

had loadsa fun but kinda sad too lah cos this really marks the end of our journey. for the past two weeks i've been looking forward to this day and now we can't even say "see you at PPP" anymore.

wat if we never see some ppl again?? those who graduated already like amelia, reggie, mitch ngern, mel kwok.. and of cos br jo and derrick. they'll be having fun at the friary (ok, tt sounded weird) while we're in sch. cannot get to see derrick's fantastic dancing anymore! haha. not to mention his jokes. and no more br jo who tries to irritate me by making funny faces at me (when i'm drinking!) or pushing me to one side so he can overtake me and get out the door before me. he reminds me of my brother abit actually. same age somemore. i wish i had a brother who's a friar! imagine when ppl ask wat ur bro does, u can say "oh, he's a friar!" instead of the usual "oh he's working in some office". so cool rite! hahaha. well, since I can't be a friar.. having a bro who's one wud be good. heh.

was just wondering... why do we call br jo 'brother' when derrick is just derrick. derrick's been a brother longer somemore. oh and.. will ur eyelashes really grow longer if u cut them??? hmm... think not.

Class Gathering 2

wow. for one and a half yrs we never met up and now within the span of 2 weeks we've met up twice! haha. the infamous two Ds, debbie and daphne, came today. they're still the same! talk non stop. haha.. but was gd to see them again lah. i actually forgot tt daph was in my lit class in sem 1... and i was saying tt i dint noe she was in arts too. gosh.. my memory's really failing me.

so we bbq-ed at Aidan's place.. had marshmellows many many! yummm. then we watched the arsenal man-u match. wat a typical thing to do! haha. but was fun lah.

oh yesterday my 2nd brother asked me if he should pierce his ear. hahahaha. i was so shocked i was like 'eeeeeeee! no!' he wants to wear the diamond earrings tt he got from our aunt. gross lah! dimond earrings on a guy??? and i don't think he was kidding abt tt.. eeks. i don't like guys who wear earrings. unless they look really really cool in them. and tt's not easy.

the other brother was back fm KL yesterday and he said tt my room looked like an earthquake hit it. or was it tornado...? ah watever. u get the idea. haha. well he should've seen the mess i made in HIS room when he wasn't around. hehe. lalala.. hols are over and i haven't cleaned my room yet.. haven't cleared my mess downstairs either. this box of stuff has been there since i moved out of hall in sem 1!!! heh! also haven't compiled my JC fotos into the album tt i bought. the house is only going to get messier when sch starts since i do not haf a room in hall to mess! imagine the mess in my room in hall (some of u mite noe)... it will all be transferred to my house. muahaha.

went for a haircut at Ginrich with weng today. let's just say it's another freakin haircut that looks bad!!! all was going well until.... the hair-guy cut bangs for me!! the result? i look so cheena can!!! like a china doll! or like some secondary sch kid! worse, if i tie my hair up i look like a primary sch kid. hahahah. wah lao.. i look 12. and the guy still ask me if it's short enough!?!?? dono whether to laugh or cry. i guess it's better to laugh. haha. sigh. hair will grow.. in the meantime, maybe i shd go around with a cap on.

oh and we saw this really really really HOT guy!! TALL, DARK and HANDSOME kind! very dark indeed! so mysterious sia! haha. i swear he's one of the best looking guys i've seen. ever. he was wearing a cap and had the sideburns and hairy thing going on for him haha. caps are cool haha (i'm just saying that in case i decide to wear them for the next few weeks).

anyways.. i really miss town. haven't been to town much. get to see so many interesting kinds of ppl in town. we've got the weirdly dressed ppl, the bad hair ppl (like me), the guys-who-wear-sleeveless-and-think-they're-so-cool-but-are-super-disgusting ppl, the she's-SO-pretty-life-is-so-unfair ppl, and of course the occasional auntie who tries to be hip. ppl watching (naturally, bitching comes with it) is so fun.

oh oh i wanna watch notebook cos ryan gosling's acting in it! he's so cute! not dark and mysterious but will do heh. and i wanna watch 13 going on 30 cos it looks fun! why are all the shows tt i wanna watch coming out only now when sch's opening?? geez...

Food!!

our seafood dinner at weng's hse was good. well, except for one sucky dish! and the food was abit cold. but wat to do.. this kind of thing must eat at the place itself den nice. not bad already lah.

oh yah, i've really gotten fat ever since i left JC. i have proof of it man.. disguuusting!

Yawns

went for mass with aidan and bernard today then we caught King Arthur after that. the so called story behind the legend is boreeeeeeng! the characters are so bland as well. and kiera knightly was just there to be the eye candy (she goes to war in almost nothing) amongst the otherwise ugly cast. their acting nothing to rave about either. no wonder it got bad reviews lah.

i can't stand sms-ing on my new phone. i'm too used to nokia...

Reunion

private parts was so boring!! ok some bits were funny.. but on a whole it was so draggy.. was falling asleep and hoping tt it wud end soon. waste money!! should've spent the money on dim sum dollies instead. been spendin too much the past few days! esp today... aaahhhhhhh!

i was late for class gathering but turns up only aidan n zhicai were there! the rest all later den me haha. and i was the only girl who went.. wats new. but i like hanging out with the guys la. think it's more fun without the other girls (can't stand most of them) anyway heh. too bad tt stupid kenny n man dint come! aidan's still the same.. with his usual stupid remarks tt make u go 'what!?'. zhicai is still crazy. siah ong's still weird. fabes still behaves in his usual manner. heh. we were talking as if we the one year plus during wich we didn't see or talk to each other never existed! was so cool. everyone's still the same, nothing's changed. i felt as if we were stil in JC! young again! haha. zhicai said i stil look the same. phew. i'm jus glad i didn't age or sth.

ate at some place in hotel rendezvous den went to paradiz centre to play pool. wat an ulu place man. and i suck at pool even more now haha. had coffee and now i'm home and tired. wat a day!

oh got home and found tt my daddy got me a new phone! haha yay. siemens one.. took the longest time to figure out how to use tho. hah.. hopeless.. hopeless..
