i have a million essays to write!! ok, just three. but that's just about enough to kill me. sigh. one 35% (!?) on mon, one 25% on thurs, and another 25% on fri. not to mention a marketing project on fri as well. gotta go to town to look for stuff for the project tmr.. wat a waste of time! and gotta go bug some sponsors as well. haha. have also been looking for info in the library to do my essays... not very fruitful. bah. it's been a sucky week... and it can only get worst. been doing reli badly for my essays and tests thus far. argh. i can't screw up these three! yet i think i will. i'm rambling. it's friday again. damn fast. i wanna go back to last week.

One way! Jesus!
guess that was everybody's fave song during the retreat. heh. anyways, it was rather fun!! despite the 'tension' that we had. heh. last night was damn fun. we were in the little india corner (hurhur) talking cock till like 430! so we had only like 2 hours of sleep! haha. this mornin i was so sleepy i slept during the talk.. and er.. couldn't help dozing off at mass too heh. previous night we walked around the sch and it was freakin scary!! super dark. the toilets really freak me out (even during the day wat more at nite). wat with all the scary stories. yikes..
after the retreat lunched with pOk and ade. we had a really interesting conversation about the charismatic stuff and church and all. there were some reli creepy stories tt gave me goosebumps! but i think it was amazing... to just talk about religion. it's not something that we do very often... mostly not at all. was just nice lah.
went home, caught an hour of sleep then met mike for mass at holy trin. haha. he was going there to help the franciscans sell their calendars and since i slept at mass in the morning just go lah! and mike fell asleep standing! damn funny. haha. got a calendar too.. its niiiice. 10 buckeroos only. go get!

exciteddddddd!
i think i'm lagging cos i only just started to get excited about this. going back to CJ tmr to help facilitate in the JC1 retreat! ahhhh!! like wat dary's nick says, we'll be BACK, reunited and in ACTION!! muahhaha. he makes it sound like some tv show reunion haha. like friends! wheeeee! actually i hate facilitating (for retreats. orientation camps are ok). but it'll be so fun cos almost everyone's going back! ahh! then we can stay up and talk cock! haha! and this time the teachers wouldn't be chasing us to go sleep! heh. yay yay yay! it'd be just like old times. hahaha. gosh, just saying that makes me feel old.
oh speaking of age, just the other day, for a split second i thought i was 18! hahaha. ridiculous eh. i saw this mag and it had "10th anniversary" on it. i thot, "how old was i 10 years ago? ok. 18 - 10 = ??" then i realised should be 20 - 10. which is 10 (yay i can count!). and that day when i went to cut hair with my godma, the hair guy said to her "young kids any hairstyle also nice". he was err.. referring to me. hurhur. i wonder how old (or shd i say young?) he thinks i am.
ok i haven't finished my essay. hahahahaha. but i'm still happy! lalala! maybe i'll get last minute inspiration like xinye. i hope so! ok. shall go finish it off.

thinking of a title is sucha chore
went to power 98's band competition thingy today with weng, mel and charkwa to check out the cute guys! *ahem* i mean, to support ivan, justin and nick! go, them! haha. every band had to play original songs and i really liked some of the songs! too bad their band, Always Marcia (spelling??), didn't get into the finals! i really liked their songs and i thought they were good. bah. anyways, it was fun! nothing beats rock music live and loud. i wonder when local bands will start getting recognition. there's good stuff out there. no?
after that we caught Ballet Under the Stars. haha from rock to ballet. anyway i thought it was rather boring. i think if they call it a ballet they should just stick to ballet and not do weird rural-urban tribal-like dances with terribly loud and screechy music. just weird lah. i prefer classical ballet. what'd be interesting to see is a ballet with rock music. hahahah. i wonder wat it'd be like. should be quite cool lah. if it can be pulled off.
ok gtg. got a candle article to write and i can't find the info to write it!! ahhhhh. sigh. bye.

How Did That Happen?
my mom crashed the car yesterday. she drove right into a container. sheesh. luckily, she's ok. the car's not as lucky tho! apparently the whole front of the car got smashed and even the airbag came out haha. now it's gonna get scraped and we are officially car-less for now. amazing. i dono how come she didn't see the container. containers are huge! how did that happen? and not too long ago, she killed the backlight of the car. harhar. banged into a pillar while reversing. geez. said she didn't see it. i remember when i was a kid and i was in the car, she also hit into sth while parking. she's such a terrible driver!!! and she herself admits to that. she said before she doesn't know how she passed the test cos she knows she's not that good. i scared already. she'd better not drive anymore. for her own good and for the good of others. hah.
in other news. vernice told me she got into KR! hoho and guess which blk? yup. A blk. the one i was in. then she said she asked the guy (er.. dono wat guy) and he said there was no one after her on the waiting list. in other words, i was not on the freakin waiting list! how did that happen? bah. stupid unhelpful hall office bitch of a woman told me i was put on the waiting list. well, obviously not. i bet she lied just to get me off her back haha. vernice said i should've applied to be on the waiting list myself. oh, well. what's done is done. guess i'm fated to stay at home to mug as opposed to staying in hall and slacking my time away. haha.
i'm sleepy. it's only 840. guess it'll be an early night. bye.

wheeeee!
my stressful period is over!! had my lit test and presentation today so it's over and done with!! was a CRAZY weekend i tell ya. had to rush thru 176 pgs of Molloy, of which 91 pgs is PARAGRAPHLESS!!! it's so terrible to keep seeing endless lines!! gives you a headache. and you don't know where to stop reading when u wana take a break cos there are no breaks! WAH LAO!
but that being said... Molloy is a great book, albeit frustrating at times (ok, alot of the time). Samuel Beckett is a freakin good writer!
he's one funny guy with a weird sense of humour i tell ya... check it out:

But is it not rather the true portal of our being and the celebrated mouth no more than the kitchen-door. nothing goes in, or so little, that is not rejected on the spot, or very nearly. almost everything revolts it that comes from without and what comes from within does not seem to receive a very warm welcome either. are not these significant facts. time will tell.
and Turner said sth during tutorial about how lit is supposed to be enjoyable... i guess we've all forgotten about how enjoyable it really can be. like he said, it's fun! go read Molloy, everybody!

went to watch neil simon's Rumours at jubilee hall with shuhui, xinye, sunshine and franklin just now. i miss jubilee hall! haha. the play wasn't too bad. some parts were hilarious. heh. dono why some ppl left during the interval! such a waste of money.. were they really THAT bored?? geez. might as well don't come.

argh!!
tickets to the eagles are sold out!!!!! only left the $350 and $500 ones! and it's not like i can afford those!!! @#%&^$^@*%! SIGH. and it's not like i'll ever get a chance to watch them again! farewell tour indeed. why didn't i just get the tix when they were still available like last week! and gold90fm keeps advertising for their concert and they even have a ticket giveaway contest but i missed the first few clues so i cant even take part! and they play the contest thingy all day long much to my annoyance. maybe i should go buy 4D and TOTO and hope i get lucky. harhar. speaking of toto (the band), i didn't get to watch them either when they came! and they're so old too i don't think there'd be a 'next time' to watch them. sigh. i just keep missing out on the good stuff. i wonder what i'll miss next...

wow i actually managed to find time in this crazy, busy week to blog! haven't blogged in ages cos err.. just didn't feel like it. wonder if anyone still reads my blog. hahaha.
well, i have something blog worthy today!
went to watch Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and they are SO good!!! better still was the fact that i got the tickets for free! muahahhaha. won some contest. ain't i lucky. yah anyways.. they were so energetic! they were like CRAZY! they're like those duracell bunnies that go on and on and on. but not so stiff and stupid looking lah. ok, bad analogy. but you get my drift. oh and they looked like they were having a hell lotta fun. just watching them can make you smile. the music was great too! there was big band stuff.. some swing, some jazzy stuff and like er.. african tribal music.. or at least tt's wat i think it was. haha. oh and of course, the men were hot! haha. i love black men.
