the world of science

went to sci canteen for lunch and the pasta was AWFUL! if u think the pasta at arts is gross, wait till to try the one at sci. i only managed to eat like a few pieces of the macaroni, which was icky and hard. and the sauce was worse... yuck. to top it off, that bowl of crap cost me $2.80. got ice jelly (with an exiguous amount of jelly) for dessert. it was bad as well. first time i ate ice jelly wif the jelly on top of the ice. nuff' said. on sat i had the jap food there, which is prolly sci canteen's only saving grace? however, the woman who took our orders was a scary bitch. so there. no good experiences in science canteen thus far. hah..

even yiting, who is from engin, commented that the sci ppl look weird. lol. the food is enuf to tell me that.. the ppl just confirms it. hahah. on sat i went along wif a few of em to hand in some project at SoC and i felt so outta place. the long, quiet, enclosed corridors reminded me of a hospital. and there was a certain smell too. the doors also had little sliding windows like those we see in mental hospitals in the movies. haha. the whole place was like so.. erm.. sterilized. haha wat a word to use. but it is. the real shocker came when we stepped into the lift. EVERYONE in the lift looked the SAME. clones! they were all specky and weird lookin! scaryyyy. if i put u in a lift wif those ppl, and dint tell u which part of nus u were in, i think you'd still be able to guess. haha.. and i think i had a certain look on my face cos yiting asked me why i look so frightened! hahaha..

ok.. i noe i'm being damn mean here. but even sunshine doesn't like being in sciency land! just now she couldn't wait to get out of there. and she's from science! haha.. but she said that we must understand... that those ppl spend like 12 hours a day in labs (!!!??) i sure hope she was exaggerating. but if that's really the case, then it's no wonder that they are so different from us arts (slackers) ppl.

in any case, i'm glad i'm not one of em suffering students in science. heh. hmm... hope i'm not offending anyone from sci.. dun think anyone from sci reads my blog anyway.. i dun have anything against sci ppl. the few ppl that i noe from sci seem pretty normal to me. heh. lalalala!

i've started!

finally, finally got down to studyin! haha. watched one webcast and did one reading. ok, so it's not so much studying than catching up on stuff that should have been done a long time ago. heh. but still. it's good enuf for me. yes, it is.

anyway.. my neighbor who lives across me is gonna move up to 5th floor next sem. damn... she's from mauritius. so she speaks english. she listens to english songs. rock, to be precise. i just hope the new girl won't be some cheena person. and i hope she would be slack like the rest of us in this wing. she must definitely love to sleep, and not be the super irritating enthu kind. will definitely assimilate better... heh. whoever moves in here will be quite poor thing tho.. cos she'll be the only year one in this wing.

think i'm really lucky to have been put in this wing. seriously. my wing is the most 'ang moh' of all the girls wings. i'd just die if i were in any other wing. and yiting's moving down here next sem. yay. one more person wif the same music taste here.

oh just now yiting said that i sound very funny when i speak in chinese. haha.. apparently i sound like a kid. guess my level of chinese is about there too? haha. and she's not the only who's been laughing at my chinese. past few days ppl have been asking me if i can speak chinese. haha! and my lousy chinese has rubbed off on xinye! haha. just now she pronounced some words totally wrong. heh! yay i shall influence everyone to speak my kinda cheena! mwahhahah.

oh yah. i have a new nickname. nai3 da4 li4. like chinese translation of natalie. haha. i'm told it means boobs big. haha. nai3 is boobs?? but i thot that nai3 means milk?? as in nui nai? not meh? but they say nai has two meanings and told me not to argue wif em cos my cheena is not up to standard. they bluff me also i dono man... but anyway.. wat a contradictory name. cos i'm so flat. haha.. ah well. call me whatever u want. so amusing.. heh

bullied

was watching AMI in the lounge wif tiff then when we tried to leave to go toilet, the door couldn't open!! we were stuck! wah lau. lucky franklin had the key to open the other door so we were let out. den later we used that as an april fool's joke. haha. we called ppl to come 'save' us and so many of them fell for it! haha. but some were so evil! they laughed at us! and later they locked me in the room wif two kids from hell!! the kids were damn bad lah! they pulled me and wouldn't let me get out! and then franklin pushed me and i fell and then he locked the door!! i was really trapped in the room with those two horrors! wah lau! i was screamin and screamin! now my throat is sore. ahem... those ppl are so evil right! hmph....

i knew it wouldn't last.... sigh.
